Day 78

ABB Customer Centre is under renovation.
Hence, today I and Kok lun help out in the EIB room training centre with Lionel, Alvin and Andrew. Clearing the electrical boards, Panels and etc etc.

2 more days will be end of year 2009!

As the office, is getting more people taking annual leave. Start to go back to week 1, nothing to do already.

Day 74

Today is Christmas Eve! I can feel the festive in the office as everyone is celebrating it.
& today ¾ quarter working day.

Handed over the survey forms to michelle, to let her take a look.

Carry the Managing diary, pocket diary, calendar, calendar diary with Ying Hua to Chang Tai Nam office.

Had a christmas lunch at Pontini with Mr Lim SY, Mr Ong PS, Emil, Ying Hua, Michelle, Nazreen, Sok Yee, John, Winnie at grand copthorne waterfront hotel.

As well as today Michelle gave me one x’mas present, LCA Wayne gave me 3 chocolates.
Mr Lim gave me x’mas card and present. Wonderful x’mas ever I had.
Ai Leng and Lionel gave me chocolates bar each.

This is the presents i've ever rec'd most for x'mas!

Day 73

Today, starting to write out for the feedback and the action plan can be done for the 11 customers i've met. Assisting Ying Hua for the Master Calendar for internal and external events : Date and week

Meeting with the 2 vendors from the event management company,William and Tricia.
For myself, i just sit in and listen how the vendors offers for the programming on 22nd Jan'10 which i already have left the company. But still help around.


Today is AP marketing meeting.

Day 71

Myboss is on leave.
As well nothing much to update, packing up some of the items left behind items for AP60mins. Went back school to submit report.

Day 70

Today is the Teambuilding event with LV Drive Service team, Robotics dept, LCA - Logistics team, Machines dept, Motor&Drive dept and AP marketing team.

Reporting time: 10.45am.
Venue: Fort Canning Park at Old Married Soldiers Quarters.

Nazreen and I reached there at 10.25am, we waited the rest to come.

They grouped us into 9 teams at 11.35am starting with our first activity was the Picture Hunt. We were giving 16 pictures to allocate the items and take a group pic except the cameraman.

Had Lunch.

Activities like Untangled, Internet Connection with hula loops, Whacko with newspaper wrap, magic carpet, balloons towers.

Lastly the prize giving to the winning team

Dinner and home sweet home.

Day 69

Today went down to Powergrid at Telok Blangah there with Bryan.
We were in the Power Quality Lab doing some testing on the VSD and the motor. How much can the VSD torque&frequency.
We were there from 9am.

At the same time, I helped bryan to do a video shooting at the lab of the explaining of the 50Hz testing on Variable Speed Drive, motor and graphs statistics.

Had lunch with Nazreen, Who was the previous night WINNER for the D&D first prize.
On her treat at BALI restaurant at IMM.
After a wonderful lunch treat from her. Bryan and I went back to powergrid.

At 4.30pm back to office.
Preparation for the AP60mins for Mr Chang. On the revamp of the AP division. Some of the dept is revamp to another division.
I was tasked to past “congratulations! ((:” stickers on the chairs in the staff corner for presents.

We were preparing the christmas party with logcakes and sparkling juices, beers, cakes, cookies, tibits, sweets and jelly. Everyone seem to enjoy the FOODS! ahahh.

Pack up around 7.30pm.

Day 68

reporting work at 10am today. At 5pm, having meeting with the LVP of the panel builder survey done during november. Discussion on what is done on the survey and the results. How can survey is can be conducted besides just a neutral party conducting.


Hence, The list of interviewee is still not total completed. Task now is to complete handful of interviewee to end the PB survey. Matthew want me to write out the action plan can be done each individual interviewee and the problem that they are facing.



Day 66

Rental costume for the D&D with my colleagues.
As well as return all the pocket diary, calendars and survey forms to Matthew.

Day 64

Yesterday completed with the presentation slides for the Panel builder. Michelle holds a meeting with Matthew and Zheng Yu to discuss about the survey conducted previously. Zheng Yu dragged Healey Pang to join in the meeting. He is a new boss from LVP. It took about 45 minutes presentation. He prompted consequent questions which he did not know what is the actual plan and what is going on. He gave a lot suggestions on getting very detail feedback from the customer. Which I think as a neutral party conducting the survey. It merely data analysis and how ABB stands and certain areas, room for improvement. I think he should read up the excel of the details collected from the customer. I am able to understand this can helps to improve the management but still it still a gap there which we are not very close with the customers.

Next week is the 2nd Bi-monthly report submission. Which i am very busy the following week with events, teambuilding, ABB Dinner & Dance 2009, AP60mins cum x'mas party.

Day 63

Pack for the Hazardous for certain parts of the Drives. Was busy with packing the marketing materials like burning Products CD, goodies bag, Customer Name Badge.
The training is only open for ABB Channel Partners, Gennal & Mecomb.
OT until 7.30pm.

Continuing with the Panel Builder Powerpoint slides.

Day 60


This morning 7.30am got into the office get ready for the event preparation.


I was ushering as well as doing the registration counter at the customer centre. Example like “Hello Good morning to the customer!” “Which company you are from? Customer’s Name?



Around10.30am, will have a light Tea-break from some catering. Hence, as well as I'm the photography taking pictures around with the customers. During the training, took some pictures as well for the to upload into the Intranet ABB.


Had lunch at the staff corner with the customer. After the lunch, some of the customer would like to visit the Drives Service Workshop, hence I following together with them.



Leong was introducing the procedures and process to the customers and myself.

Aftermath, event over have to went up to the customer centre and staff corner to pack up. Things like goodies bag, coffee and sweets and sweet bowl and sockets and etc.


Pack and clean up all the items and gave the brochures and goodies bag to lynette and Philip Ng in the LV drives dept until 4pm plus. Keep all the things before knock off.




Day 58

As usual today. Nothing much to talk about.

Update to matthew and michelle with the Panel builder survey and what to put in for the presentation. The competitors and The pros and cons of the different categories like technical, service, price and support. Example of the graphs and what is the commonly used items, stock up more and etc.

Day 57

Rushing to do the panel builder presentation. Ying Hua assigned me to do the organising chart of AP marketing with the current status of employee.

Today, our team have a new colleague, John Cheong, EE manager.

Tuesday again, AP marketing weekly meeting, today talked about the new customer centre and etc and usual update and the KPI sheet for the employee.

Busy with the Powerpoint Slides for the Panel Builder Presentation to the LVP, Matthew & Zheng Yu


Pondering what to put in the slides. The feedback, The objectives of the survey and etc etc.
